Tickets to enter Machu Picchu are purchased through authorized official channels and travel agencies. Advance booking is recommended due to high demand and limited daily capacity. At the time of purchase, the visitor’s full name and identification number must be registered, as tickets are personal and non-transferable and cannot be used by another person.
